Refund Policy

The short version

All sales are final. Your license key is delivered the moment payment clears. From that point the product is in your hands and the transaction is complete.

What you agree to at checkout

To buy a key you tick a checkbox confirming two things. First, that you want your key delivered immediately. Second, that you understand this waives the statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital content purchases. That waiver is a condition of sale.

Without that consent we cannot release a key. With it, the sale becomes final the instant your key is generated.

Why we do not refund

A license key is digital content delivered the moment your order completes. It cannot be returned, recalled, or unused. Once your inbox contains the key, you have received exactly what you paid for, in full, in working condition.

This applies whether or not you have redeemed the key in the app, whether or not you have installed GeoGhost, and whether or not you have launched it on a GeoGuessr round. Delivery is the trigger, not redemption.

Broken keys

If a key fails to redeem because of a technical fault on our side, that is not a refund question. Email support@geoghost.gg with your order reference and we will replace the key or fix the underlying issue at no charge. Replacement is the remedy, not money back.

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback on a delivered key is a breach of these terms. We track chargebacks against the order email and payment method. A fraudulent chargeback results in revocation of all keys tied to that account, a permanent ban from future purchases, and where appropriate a counter-claim with the payment processor.

If you have a real concern, email support first. We answer within a few days. Going straight to a chargeback only slows things down for both of us.

Goodwill

In rare cases, for example a clear technical defect we cannot resolve or a duplicate accidental purchase, we may at our sole discretion issue a refund as a courtesy. This is not a right and is not a precedent. Most requests will be declined. A declined request is final.

Statutory rights

Where the law of your country grants you a refund right that survives the waiver you gave at checkout, that statutory right applies and this policy does not reduce it. For consumers in the EU, the waiver follows the standard pattern under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU for digital content delivered immediately with the consumer's express consent. If you believe a statutory right applies to your purchase, write to support and explain the basis.
